Condolences to family and friends of longtime TRIBUNE News-Talk WGN-A/CHICAGO news reporter LARRY SCHREINER, who died THURSDAY night of cardiac arrest at 73, according to the station.
SCHREINER was a CHICAGO police officer when he began freelancing news film production for WGN-TV in 1968, first selling footage of the looting and burning on the SOUTH SIDE in the aftermath of Dr. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.'s assassination to the TV station.
