GEORGE STRAIT’s final show of his “Cowboy Rides Away” tour SATURDAY night (6/7) at AT&T STADIUM in ARLINGTON, TX played to 104,793 fans, shattering the existing attendance record for an indoor concert in NORTH AMERICA (87,500) previously held by THE ROLLING STONES.
STRAIT’s final show lasted four hours, covering 40 songs, including 20 of his record-setting 60 #1 hits. Eight special guests joined STRAIT on stage, including JASON ALDEAN, KENNY CHESNEY, ALAN JACKSON, MARTINA MCBRIDE, SHERYL CROW, FAITH HILL and STRAIT’s son, BUBBA.
STRAIT’s attendance mark SATURDAY put an exclamation point on a of career of record-setting superlatives that include the most-ever #1 singles (60); charting a top 10 single for 30 years and compiling the most #1, Gold and Platinum album certifications in the history of Country music.
