As reported beforehand (NET NEWS 5/28), CBS RADIO Classic Hits KRTH (K-EARTH 101)/LOS ANGELES attracted more than 1,125 people to participate in its LOCKS OF LOVE promotion, as over 12,250 inches of hair was donated to LOCKS OF LOVE, a not-for-profit organization that uses the donated hair to provide hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 21 with medical hair loss.
During the week of JUNE 2nd-8th, 2014, every person who met the LOCKS OF LOVE guidelines received a free haircut from an expert stylist at participating SUPERCUTS locations in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, plus they received a PAUL MITCHELL 413 Sculpting Brush. Girl Scouts who made a donation earned a limited-edition patch created especially for this campaign.
“Everyone at K-EARTH is thrilled that so many listeners decided to make a difference and donate their hair for a great cause,” K-EARTH 101 morning personality GARY BRYAN said. “We couldn’t have done this campaign without the support of SUPERCUTS, JOHN PAUL DEJORIA and PAUL MITCHELL, and all the GIRLS Scouts who participated with enthusiasm. It’s so inspiring!”
