JOURNAL BROADCAST GROUP's MILWAUKEE Radio Operations cluster has upped four staffers to new management positions and has also added two new digital sales associates.
GSM TOM SHERIDAN has been promoted to Dir./Sales. VP/GM TOM LANGMYER tells ALL ACCESS that SHERIDAN will have "more clearly-defined, overall responsibility and accountability for all top-line revenue at MILWAUKEE's Radio Operations." The move also eliminates the dual reporting structure for interactive and national sales. LSM JASON BJORSON moves up to GSM, continuing to oversee local sales while adding additional leadership responsibilities across all other top-line revenue streams, and BRYAN SHORE and STEVE FRANK have joined the staff as Digital Sales Associates.
On the content side, KATIE O'CONNELL has been upped to Executive Producer, Digital Content and Social Media; she has been with JOURNAL since 2011, when she joined the MILWAUKEE JOURNAL-SENTINEL as a producer, then moved to sister NBC affiliate WTMJ-TV and JOURNAL INTERACTIVE. Also, COLLIN ROTH has been named Managing Editor for RIGHT WISCONSIN, the political news subscription-based website headed by WTMJ host CHARLIE SYKES.
LANGMYER said, "This solid new structure and excellent team will lead us in product development, cross-platform content and revenue growth. These promotions represent a new leadership structure to drive further growth at JOURNAL's MILWAUKEE Radio Operations."
