In OCTOBER 2013 (NET NEWS 10/21/13), ALL ACCESS reported as EDDIE "PIOLIN" SOTELO began his first full week at SIRIUSXM, reports came out that a handful of former UNIVISION RADIO employees were alleging harassing behavior. The staffers worked for PIOLIN on his UNIVISION "PIOLIN POR LA MANANA" show. They were let go before the program's abrupt termination JULY 22nd. Then, a month later, SOTELO sued the six ex-staffers, alleging that as a group they sought to extort as much as $4.9 million from him.
SOTELO maintained that the group banded together to demand $4.9 million from him in exchange for their silence -- or else they would go public with additional allegations about boorish behavior on his UNIVISION RADIO show
Now, lawyers for the six say a LOS ANGELES judge has ordered SOTELO to pay more than $100,000 in legal fees from that lawsuit.
