Condolences to family and friends of CAPITAL BROADCASTING/SALT LAKE CITY owner/GM JOHN WEBB, who died THURSDAY (6/26) at 67.
A statement from the company said that WEBB "was the guiding force that enabled CAPITAL BROADCASTING to thrive and grow in an always changing broadcasting environment. JOHN’s vision and dream of a family-run business that engaged its employees in a manner and style that was consistent with his personality, made the CAPITAL BROADCASTING group of stations a desirable place at which to work and excel. In a post-consolidation era, there are few remaining family-run radio stations. CAPITAL BROADCASTING is committed to retaining the independence that JOHN WEBB championed.
"JOHN’s spirit is a part of the fabric of our entire company and will always remain so. We lost our leader, but his charm, wit, smile, vision, drive, and persistence will endure. He will be missed."
The company owns News-Talk KLO-A, AC KSQN (SUNNY 103), and Hot AC KBZN (NOW 97.9)/SALT LAKE CITY.
