The SOCIETY OF LEADERS IN DEVELOPMENT (SOLID) will donate $5,181 the MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ASSOCIATION (MDA) as a result of this YEAR's "CMA YARD SALE & AUCTION" (NET NEWS 5/28) fundraising event. The items sold consisted of autographed merchandise, tickets, guitars, and meet & greet opportunities.
Each YEAR, this event serves as an opportunity for SOLID to give back to the NASHVILLE community via funds that directly benefit families served by MDA throughout NASHVILLE and MIDDLE TENNESSEE.
"SOLID is thrilled to partner with the MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ASSOCIATION, especially since we can help give back to the local chapter here in town. This event thrives because of the incredible support and collaboration from SOLID members and the music community. We truly appreciate all who helped," stated SOLD President BRIAN O'NEIL.
Six local children with muscular dystrophy will benefit from a portion of the donation receiving a trip to MDA SUMMER CAMP, "a week where they are just like everyone else," said MDA Executive Director AMANDA SPIEHLER. "We feel fortunate to be partners and we are grateful for SOLID's hard work and dedication to giving back."
