Cumulus Launches NASH Icon

CUMULUS MEDIA has officially launched its NASH ICON branding (NET NEWS 5/13) in ATLANTA and SAVANNAH, GA. Oldies Hybrid WWWQ-HD2-W255CJ/ATLANTA has been flipped to NASH ICON 98.9 and Sports WZAT (ESPN 102.1)/SAVANNAH to NASH ICON 102.1. The programming will be based at the NASH campus in NASHVILLE.
Top 40 WZRR (99-5 THE VIBE)/BIRMINGHAM has also flipped to NASH ICON and WSM-FM/NASHVILLE rebranded using the same moniker.

- News/Talk WJBC/PONTIAC/BLOOMINGTON IL

- Top 40 WNUQ/ALBANY, GA
More stations are expected to flip in the coming weeks.
NASH ICON will focus on Country music fans desire for more exposure to iconic artists, and will complement the more contemporary-focused NASH brand. Both NASH and NASH ICON will provide advertisers the opportunity to engage with passionate Country fans on a multi-media platform including radio, TV, digital, magazine and live events.
Beyond programming, NASH ICON includes a record label, which is a co-venture between CUMULUS and BIG MACHINE LABEL GROUP. Industry vet JIM WEATHERSON was recently named GM of the imprint (NET NEWS 6/18).
