WESTWOOD ONE veteran talker JIM BOHANNON marks a pair of milestones this month, celebrating the 30th anniversary of both his nationally syndicated shows, "America In The Morning" on SEPTEMBER 17th and 'THE JIM BOHANNON SHOW" on SEPTEMBER 22nd.
BOHANNON, who calls himself a "militant moderate" and "voice of reason" among the "clutter of daily talk," hosts both shows, MONDAY-FRIDAY, on more than 500 stations nationwide.
"It's hard to believe that 'America In The Morning' is 30!” exclaimed BOHANNON. “We've covered so many stories in that time, from the CHALLENGER disaster to 9-11, from BERGDAHL to BENGHAZI, from HARRY REID to PRINCE HARRY, and I'd like to think the best is yet to come. It's been an honor and pleasure to help so many people start their busy days."
BOHANNON's list of honors includes THE RTDNA FIRST AMENDMENT AWARD as well as membership in TALKERS magazine's "Heavy Hundred" every year since its inception in 1995. He received the TALKERS LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD in 2013, and was inducted into the NATIONAL RADIO HALL OF FAME in 2003.
WESTWOOD ONE EVP, News and Talk BART TESSLER offered his best wishes: "Congratulations to our radio HALL OF FAMER, who consistently plays at the top of his game. JIM's friends and colleagues at WESTWOOD ONE salute him as we continue to enjoy listening to his wit and wisdom."
