ELEANOR MONDALE is celebrating her triumph over brain tumors with a new job, joining CBS Talk WCCO-A/MINNEAPOLIS as midday 9a-Noon (CT) co-host alongside SUSIE JONES.
The MINNEAPOLIS STAR-TRIBUNE reports that MONDALE, who previously worked in the market at WCCO-TV and KLOL, is the daughter of former Vice President WALTER MONDALE and a former TV host at E! ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION and CBS; she was diagnosed with brain tumors last year and originally told that she had six months to live, but chemotherapy and radiation at the MAYO CLINIC caused one tumor to disappear and the other to shrink to "nonthreatening" status.
