Bustos Is Back With Purchase Of 9 Stations From Adelante Media

AMADOR BUSTOS is returning to radio ownership with the re-acquisition of nine stations he previously owned from ADELANTE MEDIA for an undisclosed price.  The deal for Country KZUS (US 92.3) and News-Talk KULE-A (HOT TALK 730 AM)/EPHRATA, WA, Regional Mexican KZTA (LA GRAN D)/NACHES-YAKIMA, WA; Regional Mexican KDDS-F (LA GRAN D)/ELMA-SEATTLE, WA;  Spanish Adult Hits KDYK-A (JUAN AM 1020)/UNION GAP-SEATTLE, WA; Spanish Hits KMIA-A (LATINO 1210)/AUBURN-FEDERAL WAY-SEATTLE, WA; Regional Mexican KZML (LA GRAN D)/QUINCY-WENATCHEE, WA; Spanish AC KMMG (LATINO 96.7)/BENTON CITY-RICHLAND-PASCO-KENNEWICK, WA; and Regional Mexican KZTB (LA GRAN D)/MILTON-FREEWATER-RICHLAND-PASCO-KENNEWICK, WA is yet to appear in the FCC database.  BUSTOS is operating the stations under an LMA before closing.

In deals appearing in the FCC database this morning, GEORGIA-CAROLINA WIRELESS, LLC is selling WLTE/PENDLETON, SC to SALEM's CARON BROADCASTING, INC. for $550,000.  The seller's affiliate TUGART PROPERTIES, INC. is also selling W275BJ/PICKENS, SC to the same buyer for $185,000 and the latter deal's consummation is a condition for the former deal.

STARBOARD MEDIA FOUNDATION, INC. is selling W258CK/YOUNGSTOWN, OH to PERCY SQUIRE's SANDBLAST, L.P. (assignee of STOP 26 RIVERBEND COMMUNICATIONS) for $20,000.

MICHAEL PIAZZA, LLC is selling K228XO/FLAGSTAFF, K265CI/PRESCOTT, and K257CD/PHOENIX to BIGDOG COMMUNICATIONS LLC for $100.  The translators rebroadcast Classic Country KAFF-A (COUNTRY 93.5)/FLAGSTAFF, Oldies KNOT-A (FUN OLDIES 100.9/1450)/PRESCOTT, and Business Talk KFNN-A (MONEY RADIO 1510 AND 99.3)/MESA-PHOENIX, respectively.

TOM HODGINS is selling K288EU/LEWISTON AND CLARK, ID to NEZ PERCE TRIBE for $70,000.

EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION is selling W232BH/HOLLY, MI to FAMILY LIFE BROADCASTING SYSTEM for $1.

APPALACHIAN MEDIA OUTREACH is transferring low power FM WJJA-LP/EAST BERNSTADT, KY; the assignee will pay $2,598.98 for the equipment and tower.

The estate of COLIN H. NAITO has applied for a Silent STA for KWYI/KAWAIHAE, HI due to NAITO's illness and subsequent death.

COVE MOUNTAIN EDUCATIONAL BROADCASTING, INC. has requested an extension of its Silent STA for WWCF/MCCONNELLSBURG, PA due to relocation to a new site and replacement of outdated equipment.

And ALPHA MEDIA has closed on the purchase of K296GK/PLEASANTON, TX from WILDCATTER WIRELESS, LLC for $610,000 and K277CX/TERRELL WELLS, TX from JOHN BARGER's SAN ANTONIO RADIOWORKS, LLC for $430,000.  The former translator has a construction permit to move into SAN ANTONIO and will rebroadcast Talk KTSA-A.
