'2nd Annual Star Guitar Charity Auction' Brings In Nearly $8,000

The "2nd ANNUAL STAR GUITAR CHARITY AUCTION" hosted by RIVERBEND COMMUNICATIONS Country KTHK (THE HAWK 105.5/105.9)/IDAHO FALLS, ID took place LAST NIGHT (10/9).
The event was held at THE ARTITORIUM in IDAHO FALLS where over 200 guests enjoyed a free concert a live auction. Entertainment was provided by WINDRIDGE RECORDS artist LEVI RIGGS. Eleven guitars were up for auction, each having been signed by some of the biggest names in Country music. Proceeds from the event will help local area charities, including THE UNITED WAY, HELP INC, AMERICAN LEGION POST 56, PRIMARY CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL, and others.
"What a great night," said KTHK PD/morning host DON JARRETT. "Very proud of our staff and community for supporting local charities with this annual event. Thanks to all the record labels and artists that helped us get these guitars signed this SUMMER. What a great example of taking something simple and turning it into something special."
The top bid of the night came in at $1,200 for a signed CARRIE UNDERWOOD guitar. In total, close to $8,000 was raised for the local charities.
