Warner/Chappell Music Is ASCAP's Publisher Of The Year

WARNER MUSIC GROUP's publishing arm, WARNER/CHAPPELL MUSIC (WCM), was named ASCAP's Publisher of the Year at last NIGHT's (11/03) ASCAP COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS. This makes the second consecutive year that WCM has walked away with the honor.
"It's all about the songwriters, and our team is extremely proud of their accomplishments," stated WCM EVP BEN VAUGHN. "They've touched millions with their music, and it's because of them that we have had the honor of being named Publisher of the Year two years running. Congratulations to all of the winners, and thank you to ASCAP for these wonderful accolades."
Additionally, WCM songwriter ASHLEY GORLEY was named Songwriter of the Year, WCM songwriter BEN HAYSLIP won Song of the Year for THOMAS RHETT's "It Goes Like This," and WCM songwriters picked up a total of 19 Most-Performed Song awards. Those 19 song honors went to: JOHN EDDIE for "More Than Miles;" DEREK GEORGE for "Drink To That All Night;" ASHLEY GORLEY for "That's My Kind of Night," "Don't Ya," "All Over the Road," "Runnin' Outta Moonlight," "Hey Girl," "Crash My Party," "Aw Naw," and "Radio;" BEN HAYSLIP for "I Can Take It From There," "Anywhere With You," "Point At You," "It Goes Like This," and "When She Says Baby;" BRETT JAMES for "Everything I Shouldn't Be Thinking About" and "I Hold On;" DERIC RUTTAN for "Mine Would Be You;" and CHRIS STAPLETON for "Drink A Beer."
"Everything starts with the song, and our writers have started some of the biggest hits this year," remarked WCM Pres./NORTH AMERICA JON PLATT.
