After iHEARTMEDIA News-Talk WHAM-A/ROCHESTER host BOB LONSBERRY was forced by police to postpone a pro-police-and-first-responders march he had planned to counter the demonstrations against the failure of grand juries to indict police in the killings in FERGUSON, MO and STATEN ISLAND, NY, LONSBERRY proceeded to march on his own on SATURDAY (12/6).
WHAM reports that LONSBERRY, told by police not to hold the scheduled walk due to safety concerns, walked solo with a sign reading, "THANK YOU POLICE AND 1ST RESPONDERS/WE LOVE YOU."
Police had been concerned that the walk would be disrupted after social media reports indicated trouble. LONSBERRY tweeted photos from his solo walk while community leaders gathered at a police station and voiced support for LONSBERRY and others to express their opinions.
