Blake Shelton To Host 'Saturday Night Live'

BLAKE SHELTON has been confirmed to host "SATURDAY Night Live" on JANUARY 24th. SHELTON will also serve as the musical guest for the night's episode, making him one of less than 40 artists who have played double "SNL" duty in the show's 40 year history.
The WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE recording artist and coach of NBC-TV's "The Voice" has used his recent television success to show off his comedic timing, which no doubt plays a role in his selection as an "SNL" host. Seven Country artists have previously hosted, including GARTH BROOKS, JOHNNY CASH, DOLLY PARTON, WILLIE NELSON, TIM MCGRAW, KRIS KRISTOFFERSON, and most recently TAYLOR SWIFT.
While wife MIRANDA LAMBERT is scheduled to be on tour in WEST VIRGINIA making a cameo unlikely, it would not be out of the question to see an appearance from fellow "The Voice" coach and previous "SNL" host, ADAM LEVINE. Look for SHELTON's JANUARY 24th episode of "SATURDAY Night Live" to air on NBC-TV beginning at 11:30p (ET).
