Last NOVEMBER 24th, UNICEF launched their #Imagine Campaign to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the CONVETION ON THE RIGHTS OF THE CHILD and to highlight the challenges that will face children all over the world in 2015.
In an effort to widen the reach of this campaign's message, an interactive crowd-sourced video, powered by TOUCHCAST, asked everyone to join in and record their own version of "Imagine," JOHN LENNON’s iconic anthem of hope and peace, alongside their favorite stars.
In uploading their own version, each participant unlocked $1 to be donated to UNICEF.
The crowd-sourced “World Version” of the song, made in collaboration with renowned DJ and music producer DAVID GUETTA, has just been released. The dynamic version features KATY PERRY, ADAM LAMBERT, SCOTT FOLEY, ZELDA WILLIAMS, MELISSA ETHERIDGE, CODY SIMPSON, NICOLE SCHERZINGER and WILL.I.AM, among many others. The completely interactive video can be seen here.
Others who took part include ANGELIQUE KIDJO, PRIYANKA CHOPRA, PAU GASOL, YUNA KIM, CALLAN McAULIFFE, DANIELA MERCURY, KHALED ABOL NAGA, SONU, NEYMAR, PUFFY AMYUMI, UN Secretary-General BAN KI-MOON, UNICEF Executive Director ANTHONY LAKE and astronaut SAMANTHA CRISTOFORETTI, singing from the INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION, alongside voices of children from BULGARIA, THE PHILIPPINES and JAMAICA, among others, as well as members of the public who have uploaded their own versions through the TOUCHCAST app.
