Three new sexual assault charges have been filed against former CBC RADIO ONE "Q" host JIAN GHOMESHI, bringing the total number of sexual assault charges against him to seven (plus one charge of overcoming resistance by choking). The CBC reports that one of the three new complainants is a former CBC employee.
GHOMESHI appeared in court THURSDAY but did not answer questions; his attorney, MARIE HENEIN, said that GHOMESHI will plead not guilty to all charges.
He is free on bail and his bail was renewed at $100,000; he also must remain in ONTARIO, surrendering his passport, and live in his mother's house while awaiting trial. The next hearing in his case is scheduled for FEBRUARY 4th.
