ENTERCOM Sports WEEI-F/BOSTON afternoon co-host DALE ARNOLD has inked a new multi-year deal to continue on the station.
ARNOLD, who also hosts BRUINS telecasts on NESN, hosted middays at the station from 1991 through 2011, then hosted part-time until replacing GLENN ORDWAY as MICHAEL HOLLEY's afternoon drive co-host in 2013, first on an interim basis after ORDWAY's replacement MIKE SALK returned to BONNEVILLE Sports KIRO-A (710 ESPN)/SEATTLE, then as official co-host. JERRY THORNTON joined the show as a co-host and WEEI.COM columnist in NOVEMBER.
Brand Manager KEVIN GRAHAM said "DALE ARNOLD has one of the most complete and diverse sports resumes in BOSTON broadcast history. He is the only person to have done play-by-play for the PATRIOTS, RED SOX, BRUINS, CELTICS and REVOLUTION in addition to having called college football, basketball and hockey. Most importantly, DALE's name is synonymous with class and character, and the impact he's made since returning full-time is undeniable."
ARNOLD added, "Words cannot properly express how excited I am to be able to continue as a talk show host for WEEI. I have always enjoyed the opportunity to talk sports with the most passionate fans in AMERICA and am grateful for this 'second chance'. I have especially loved the opportunity to work with MICHAEL again."
