WFAN Sets Radio Teams For New York City FC Soccer

CBS RADIO Sports WFAN-A-F/NEW YORK has announced the broadcast teams for 2015's inaugural season of NEW YORK CITY FC soccer. GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY and BIG EAST DIGITAL NETWORK play-by-play voice and BROOKLYN NETS Broadcast Manager TOM KOLKER will handle English-language play-by-play, with veteran college and youth soccer coach GLENN CROOKS handling color commentary; THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL and NEW YORK KNICKS Spanish-language announcer ROBERTO ABRAMOWITZ will call matches in Spanish on UNIVISION Spanish News-Talk WADO-A/NEW YORK.
NYCFC, a partnership between MANCHESTER CITY FC and the NEW YORK YANKEES, will kick off their first season in MLS against fellow expansion franchise ORLANDO CITY FC in FLORIDA on MARCH 8th; the first home match will be MARCH 15th at YANKEE STADIUM.
