Eric Church Pulls The Plug In Salt Lake

ERIC CHURCH gave a unique performance during SATURDAY's (1/31) "THE OUTSIDERS WORLD TOUR" stop in SALT LAKE CITY. After the EMI NASHVILLE artist's band and crew were taken down by a stomach flu, CHURCH was forced to pull the plug -- literally -- and elected to perform an acoustic show for the packed house.
"If you've seen our show so far on this tour, you're probably wondering what the hell is going on right now," said CHURCH to the audience. "Well, so am I. Here's the deal: Yesterday we had the stomach flu strike our band, our crew, everyone. We've talked about how every show on 'THE OUTSIDERS TOUR' is different. Well, tonight will be the most different one. Shit there's nobody left. It's just me. I'm going to give you everything I got."
CHURCH proceeded to launch a full show with only himself and his acoustic guitar, performing hits like "Give Me Back My Hometown," "Drink In My Hand," and his most recent #1 "Talladega" alongside album cuts and fan-favorites like "These Boots," "How 'Bout You," and "Livin' Part of Life." Minimal production and staging were available due to crew illness, so only four spotlights and a minimal floor lighting package highlighted CHURCH as he utilized the six available mics to perform throughout every section of the 360-degree stage setup. LZZY HALE of opening act HALESTORM joined CHURCH on stage for an acoustic rendition of their show-stopping duet "That's Damn Rock And Roll."
He then announced he would return on MONDAY, MAY 25th with a full band. Fans wishing to attend the rescheduled full-band date should hold on to their physical tickets, and those unable to attend may seek a full refund beginning WEDNESDAY (2/4) and may seek the refund until 5p (MT) on the day of the MEMORIAL DAY show. "THE OUTSIDERS WORLD TOUR" will return to the road WEDNESDAY (2/4) in SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA.
