Get Well Soon, Ron Poore
February 6, 2015 at 10:00 AM (PT)
ALL ACCESS sends our best wishes to ATLANTIC RECORDS SVP/Alternative & Rock Promotion RON POORE, who is continuing to make encouraging progress in his recovery from a stroke suffered nearly two weeks ago (NET NEWS 1/28).
RON's great friend, MONOTONE MANAGEMENT's MATT POLLACK, told ALL ACCESS, "RON is up and about and continues to make unbelievable progress daily. He has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from everyone. By far it's been the greatest level of the therapy in getting well again. He wanted you all to know that he is winning this thing and sends his love and appreciation to everyone who has reached out."
ATLANTIC VP/Alternative Promotion GARY GORMAN added, "I spoke with him for the first time and he’s definitely making great progress. RON still has a ways to go in speech therapy, but leaps and bounds from where he was 10 days ago. He wanted to communicate his deep appreciation for all of your notes and well wishes and how moving all of your support has been. From me, however, he only wanted to know how our realtime looked?"
A few weeks ago, ALL ACCESS VP/Editorial & Alternative Editor SHAWN ALEXANDER did a 10 Questions interview with RON POORE that truly illustrates his passion for the record business, which began 26 years ago when he was working with MATT POLLACK at RELATIVITY RECORDS in 1989. RON later segued to IMAGO and RCA before joining ATLANTIC almost 12 years ago. You can read about how much RON loves working for ATLANTIC and his desire to win in this week's Alternative 10 Questions. Keep RON in your thoughts and send your e-mails here.
We're happy to report that RON is heading home on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 6th to continue his rehab.
