BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC's inhouse label HEAVY ROTATION RECORDS (HRR) has released its new compilation, "Dorm Sessions 10."
The new edition of the comp features a varied mix of music by BERKLEE students and alumni, including AMY & THE ENGINE (recently featured in TEEN VOGUE), THE RARE OCCASIONS, FEVER CHARM, OH MALO, instrumental pos-rockers I/O, neo-folk GREY SEASON (featuring bouzoukis and banjos) and CORDELIA & THE BUFFALO.
The stakes are high for the release concert in BOSTON: based on their performances, artists from the comp will be chosen to represent HRR this year at three major music festivals: SXSW, LOLLAPALOOZA, and MONTREAL's OSHEAGA.
HRR is a class that gives BERKLEE music business/management students experience running an entertainment company. GRAMMY winner ST. VINCENT (ANNIE CLARK), GEM CLUB (CHRISTOPHER BARNES), HAERTS (NINI & BEN), BIG D & THE KIDS TABLE, and members of PASSION PIT (as THE PEASANTRY) have all appeared on past HRR releases.
