Paragon Research Asks, 'Does Triple A Get Enough Respect?'
February 16, 2015 at 5:21 AM (PT)
The folks at PARAGON RESEARCH have noted something interesting about the Triple A format. On the company blog, they write, "Once again, artists who started on Triple A radio scored big at the 2015 GRAMMY AWARDS. BECK and SAM SMITH won multiple major awards. Other format artists that won or were nominated this year include ST. VINCENT, ALT-J, HOZIER, RYAN ADAMS, JACK WHITE, BASTILLE, BLACK KEYS and HAIM. Previous year winners followed the same pattern. ARCADE FIRE (2011), ADELE (2012) and MUMFORD AND SONS (2013) won Album of the Year prior to BECK this year."
PARAGON asks, "How does the most awarded music at the Grammys year after year come from a radio format that is not widespread or highly rated?"
