U.K.'s BESTIVAL will bring its trademark mix of music, magic and mayhem to NORTH AMERICA for the first time this summer. The 12-year-old festival, which attracts 50,000 fans each year with headliners such as STEVIE WONDER, FLORENCE & THE MACHINE, THE CURE, KRAFTWERK and the world's greatest DJs, will take place in TORONTO, JUNE 12th-13th.
BESTIVAL TORONTO will be set on HANLAN’s POINT BEACH, in the TORONTO ISLANDS, on the shore of LAKE ONTARIO. “We have waited 12 years to decide to launch another BESTIVAL outside of the U.K.," BESTIVAL curator ROB DA BANK said. "It took a really special city, and an even more exciting site, with TORONTO and TORONTO ISLAND, to make us take the leap. I’d like to thank all our partners, friends, new and old, and supporters in TORONTO, for making this happen. We cannot wait!”
Staged in conjunction with CANADIAN promoters EMBRACE and SFX ENTERTAINMENT, the first edition of BESTIVAL TORONTO will bring the full flavor of the U.K.’s multi-award-winning major independent festival across the ATLANTIC. JOSIE DA BANK’s creative team and eclectic booking policy will create a singular U.K./CANADIAN soundclash bringing together "the most exciting music of all persuasions from brand-new acts and legends alike."
This year's lineup will be announced soon, check www.bestival.ca and register for updates.
