Viacom Reshuffles TV Network Divisions In Wake Of Van Toffler's Departure

In the wake of VAN TOFFLER's departure from the helm at MTV NETWORKS (NET NEWS 2/17), VIACOM CEO PHILIPPE DAUMAN has announced a restructuring of the company's television network groups that reorganizes three existing groups into two divisions.
DEADLINE is reporting that MTV NETWORKS MUSIC AND LOGO GROUP (MTV, MTV2, LOGO, VH1), TOFFLER's former domain, will join MEDIA NETWORKS ENTERTAINMENT GROUP's COMEDY CENTRAL, SPIKE and related networks as VIACOM MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT GROUP, headed by MEDIA NETWORKS' DOUG HERZOG. Meanwhile, CMT and CMT PURE COUNTRY are being moved into the VIACOM KIDS AND FAMILY GROUP with NICKELODEON's networks and TV LAND under CYMA ZARGHAMI. BET NETWORKS and VIACOM INTERNATIONAL MEDA NETWORKS will remain intact. HERZOG and ZARGHAMI will continue to report to DAUMAN.
