Former WMG EVP Brian Roberts Joins ASCAP As EVP/COO

YESTERDAY (NET NEWS 3/4), ALL ACCESS reported WARNER MUSIC GROUP EVP/Strategy & Operations BRIAN ROBERTS would exit, leading to a restructuring of roles for several execs at the company. Now we know where ROBERTS is heading.
ASCAP has appointed ROBERTS as EVP/COO, reporting to CEO ELIZABETH MATTHEWS. In his new post at ASCAP, ROBERTS will be responsible for the royalty payment system for over 525,000 ASCAP members and will oversee ASCAP's worldwide infrastructure including Distribution and Repertory, Information Systems, Facilities and the Economist's Office. ROBERTS will assume his new position on MARCH 30th.
