Former New York Archbishop Cardinal Edward Egan Dies; Hosted SiriusXM Show

CARDINAL EDWARD EGAN, the retired Archbishop of NEW YORK, died THURSDAY (3/5) of cardiac arrest in NEW YORK at 82, the church announced TODAY.
EGAN, who retired in 2009, served as host of a weekly talk show on SIRIUS XM RADIO's THE CATHOLIC CHANNEL in 2006-09 while Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church in NEW YORK and returned in 2010 for a five-part ADVENT special. He succeeded JOHN CARDINAL O'CONNOR in 2001.
