Arizona Coyotes Radio Analyst Nick Boynton Placed On Leave After Arrest

Former NHL defenseman and current ARIZONA COYOTES radio analyst NICK BOYNTON has been placed on a leave of absence after allegedly biting a police officer in a drunken scuffle at the SENECA BUFALO CREEK CASINO near BUFFALO, NY early this morning, reports the ARIZONA REPUBLIC.
BOYNTON allegedly fought with police and bit one officer on the finger after being cut off at the casino bar at about 1:45 am (ET) and swearing and yelling vulgar names at the staff, mostly women; he also allegedly shoved another casino patron off a chair who asked him to stop yelling. BOYNTON was arrested and given treatment after police were told that BOYNTON is a diabetic; he face charges of assault, criminal mischief and harassment.
The COYOTES are taking BOYNTON off the air starting with TONIGHT's game at BUFFALO, to air on BONNEVILLE Sports KTAR-A (ESPN PHOENIX 620 AM)/PHOENIX. The team issued a statement saying, “Early this morning, COYOTES radio color analyst NICK BOYNTON was involved in a situation at a BUFFALO casino. A police investigation is underway. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and until the continuing legal process is completed, we will have no further comment. Mr. BOYNTON has been placed on a leave of absence."
