VIRGINIA Governor TERRY MCAULIFFE used his monthly show on iHEARTMEDIA News-Talk WRVA-A-W253BI/RICHMOND as the occasion to announce the veto of six bills attempting to effect a redistricting of 20 state Senate and House districts.
The RICHMOND TIMES-DISPATCH reports that MCAULIFFE used THURSDAY's show to make the vetoes, telling listeners that the General Assembly is supposed to redistrict the Commonwealth once every 10 years, after the census, and that a court decision raises questions about the bills' constitutionality.
