Nielsen Certifies TuneGenie

TUNEGENIE has received certification from NIELSEN for their digital audio streaming measurement solution. The TUNEGENIE music content platform, featuring their responsive streaming media players, now connects directly to NIELSEN’s digital audio platform and transmits all streaming activity back to Nielsen.
Stations that meet NIELSEN’s requirements will have their online streaming listening levels added to their broadcast listening levels, together creating traditional rating metrics for radio broadcasters to use in selling advertising. Combining broadcast and streaming usage into a single metric will offer advertisers a more accurate view of each station’s listening levels.
To match NIELSEN’s combined and continuous audience measurement approach, TUNEGENIE now offers stations the ability to present their streams ubiquitously via a one-size-fits-all streaming player display. It also enhances the listeners’ streaming experience by synching in real time the corresponding music information of each song played. Further, all display and pre-roll video ads resize themselves to fit any screen size allowing stations to sell ubiquitous and continuous advertising across all devices -- and all screen sizes.
CONNOISSEUR MEDIA’s 27 music-based radio stations will begin to have their streams measured by NIELSEN via their TUNEGENIE ubiquitous (one-size-fits-all) streaming players.
