COMPASS MEDIA NETWORKS syndicated "THE BIG D & BUBBA SHOW" is helping to create a happy ending for 12-year-old SAM -- who has recently been in the news as the official winner, out of 11.57 million entries, of ESPN's "NCAA BRACKET CHALLENGE." Because SAM is under 18, per the official rules, he is not eligible to win the $20,000 grand prize offered in the challenge.
BIG D and BUBBA recently spoke with SAM and created a GOFUNDME page to help the young man raise some of the money as a consolation prize. However, UBER creator SHERVIN PISHEVAR reached out to BIG D and BUBBA after hearing about SAM on their show and offered to award the $20,000 to SAM himself. BIG D and BUBBA connected PISHEVAR with SAM's family, and it seems a happy ending is in the works thanks to the generosity of one billionaire entrepreneur and the power of radio.
