Willie Nelson Victim Of Latest Celebrity Death Hoax

Country legend WILLIE NELSON was the subject of a celebrity death hoax this past SATURDAY (4/11), as rumors circulated around the internet of his passing. The hoax seems to have originated from the cleverly-titled MSMBC website -- hoping to be easily confused with legitimate news source MSNBC -- and was shared over half a million times on social media site, perpetuating the rumor that NELSON was found unresponsive at his home in MAUI, HI.
The click-bait site has undoubtedly profited from the hoax and has set up the story to auto-populate with the current date to keep the hoax alive and viral. Additionally, they have utilized the following sentence to help perpetuate the hoax: "Rumors of NELSON’s death first circulated early [TODAY's date], 2015 on social media outlets but was later confirmed by police." Police deny any such incident, and credible news sources have come forward stating that NELSON is in fact alive. Perhaps to make the story feel more realistic, MSMBC should have left out the sentence declaring no drugs or alcohol to have been found on site.
