Heartland Sells Four Stations In Michigan, Wisconsin

HEARTLAND COMMUNICATIONS LICENSE, LLC is selling News-Talk WFER-A and Country WIKB-F (99.1 THE BULL)/IRON RIVER, MI and Country WCQM (98Q COUNTRY) and News-Talk WPFP-A/PARK FALLS, WI  to IRON RIVER COMMUNITY BROADCASTING CORPORATION for $488,000.

In other filings with the FCC, MARY V. GUTHRIE is selling K280GB/PLEASANT VIEW, CO to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION for $85,000.

SAINT MICHAEL'S COLLEGE is donating WWPV-F/CONCHESTER, VT to VERMONT PUBLIC RADIO.  The seller is divesting the station to comply with the rules allowing it to build a low power FM station at COLCHESTER.

And DELMARVA EDUCATIONAL ASSOCIATION has requested a Silent STA for W300AS/ORANGE PARK, FL while it relocates the station and changes its frequency.

New low power FM construction permits were granted to PREMIERE INTERNATIONAL CARES, INC. at FORT MYERS, FL and SOUTH FLORIDA FM INC. at MIAMI, FL.

In CANADA, the CRTC has approved a power increase for RADIO MARKHAM YORK INC. AC-Ethnic CFMS (105.9 THE REGION)/MARKHAM, ON from 704 to 981 watts ERP.  The power increase is intended to improve signal quality in MARKHAM and extend coverage in parts of MARKHAM, RICHMOND HILL, and VAUGHAN, ON where the present signal is weak.  The station offers an unusual hybrid format of AC and local information for the southern reaches of the YORK region of the GREATER TORONTO AREA in the daytime and overnights and multilingual programming in evenings and some weekend slots.
