The EAGLES' reported signing of TIM TEBOW is giving the new lineup launching today at GREATER MEDIA Sports WPEN (97.5 THE FANATIC)/PHILADELPHIA plenty to talk about, as the previously-reported installation of former crosstown CBS RADIO Sports WIP afternoon host ANTHONY GARGANO and former WPEN middayer JON MARKS in mornings (NET NEWS, 4/14) is accompanied by two other lineup changes.
Besides the new morning show, "ANTHONY GARGANO IN THE MORNING," which will include MAUREEN WILLIAMS as update anchor and JAMIE LYNCH as producer, incumbent midday host HARRY MAYES is being teamed with EYTAN SHANDER for 10a-2p weekdays, and JOE DECAMARA is taking over 6-10p with the end of the FLYERS and SIXERS' seasons. MIKE MISSANELLI continues in afternoons.
SVP/Market Manager JOHN FULLAM said, “We are thrilled to have ANTHONY join 97.5 THE FANATIC. He is the perfect lead-off man for PHILLY sports talk every weekday morning. It is great to provide PHILLY sports fans an all-star lineup for their drive times with ANTHONY in the morning and MIKE MISSANELLI in the afternoon. We are also proud to continue our long-standing affiliation with ESPN and our outstanding contributors including SAL PAOLANTONIO, RON JAWORSKI and JAYSON STARK.”
GARGANO is replacing the station's airing of ESPN RADIO's national MIKE AND MIKE IN THE MORNING, which is moving to crosstown BEASLEY Sports WTEL-A for 6-10a, replacing CBS SPORTS RADIO's morning show.
