ILLINOIS MEDIA SCHOOL and the RADIO ADVERTISINJG BUREAU are jointly offering graduates of the program, as well as current students, the opportunity to learn the sales and marketing side of the broadcasting industry.
Said National Director of Career Services DON CLARK: “Hiring managers from the broadcasting industry have told us that they are always excited to receive resumes from our graduates because they know they will be speaking with highly qualified candidates for today’s broadcast industry. But, they told us, if you would be able to add sales and marketing courses to your curriculum, you would be helping us staff a much needed segment in our industry.”
RADIO ADVERISTING BUREAU SVP Professional Development JOHN POTTER said the organization is proud to team up with ILLINOIS MEDIA SCHOOL to offer the latest, cutting-edge sales and marketing training for today’s young broadcasters. “There is a definite need for sales and marketing professionals in this industry. I have been involved for years with IMS and we at the R.A.B. are very proud to join forces with the schools and educate the students and prepare them for a prosperous career in media sales”
Two courses will be offered by IMS, taught by media marketing professionals from the CHICAGO market. A three-week R.A.B. certification course is available to anyone interested in a career in media sales. Also, an expanded and more detailed six-month media sales and marketing advanced professional certification program, which also includes R.A.B. certification, will be available to graduates and current students of IMS, and any other media professionals.
