Oldies WBBT/RICHMOND morning man OZONE's month-long face sacrificing mission to raise as much money as possible for two-year-old GRACE OUGHTON's fight against a rare form of cancer (see NET NEWS 7/28) has come to a close . Each week through LABOR DAY, OZONE took bids on the station's website for merchants to advertise on the space where his mustache used to be, and the highest bidder got to put their ad on OZONE's face.
For the last day, OZONE put all of the advertisers on his face (see picture), which amounted to 130 letters in all. OZONE got some more local TV coverage, and raised thousands of dollars for GRACE through bidding and listener donations.
