DON IMUS will end his television simulcast on MAY 29th, the WESTWOOD ONE syndicated morning host told listeners on MONDAY's show. The NEW YORK DAILY NEWS has confirmed that IMUS' show will leave FOX BUSINESS NETWORK, where it has simulcast since 2009, and that the split appears to be amicable.
IMUS joined FBN after being dropped by MSNBC in the wake of the RUTGERS women's basketball controversy in 2007 and a brief tenure on RFD-TV. Reports indicate IMUS told FBN he plans to spend the SUMMER at his TEXAS ranch, where there are no TV studios.
His contract with CUMULUS/WESTWOOD ONE expires in DECEMBER.
