SiriusXM To Air 141st Running Of The Kentucy Derby On Saturday

SIRIUSXM will offer comprehensive coverage of the 141st KENTUCY DERBY, the first jewel of thoroughbred racing’s Triple Crown, from CHURCHILL DOWNS, this SATURDAY, MAY 2nd.
Listeners will hear HORSE RACING RADIO NETWORKS’s live broadcast of the “Run For The Roses” (post time approximately 6:25p ET), as well as several of the undercard races that day. The coverage begins at 2p (ET) and airs nationwide on SIRIUSXM SPORTS ZONE, channel 92 on satellite radios, on the SIRIUSXM app and online at SIRIUSXM.com. HRRN’s MIKE PENNA will anchor the coverage along with analysts KURT BECKER, JUDE FELD, SEAN CLANCY, JEFF BLOOM and ACACIA COURTNEY. NBC race announcer LARRY COLLMUS will provide the live DERBY call.
On FRIDAY, MAY 1st, at 3p (ET), SIRIUSXM will air the KENTUCKY OAKS, the Grade 1 stakes race for three-year old fillies, run annually at CHURCHILL DOWNS on the eve of the DERBY, on SIRIUS channel 220, XM channel 206 and channel 964 on the SIRIUSXM app and online.
Leading up to the race, SIRIUSXM’s horse racing talk shows will provide listeners with daily news and analysis.
"At The Races With STEVE BYK" will air every weekday from 6a -10a (ET), featuring daily interviews with handicapping experts and trainers and an in-depth look at the field. (SIRIUS channel 220, XM channel 206 and channel 964 on the SIRIUSXM app.)
On SATURDAY, a special pre-DERBY edition of "Down The Stretch," hosted by DAVE JOHNSON and BILL FINLEY, will air live starting at 10a (ET) on SIRIUSXM SPORTS ZONE (Channel 92 on satellite radios and on the SIRIUSXM app). JOHNSON, the acclaimed track announcer who called the DERBY for 24 years, and FINLEY will discuss all the stakes races happening that day at CHURCHILL DOWNS, provide the latest DERBY news and pre-race analysis, and interview jockeys, trainers and owners.
SIRIUSXM will broadcast all three races of the 2015 TRIPLE CROWN. Listeners will hear HRRN’s broadcast of SATURDAY’s KENTUCKY DERBY, the PREAKNESS STAKES from BALTIMORE on MAY 16th, and NEW YORK's BELMONT STAKES on JUNE 6th, produced in partnership with NBC SPORTS.
