Former MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL sports talk host JEFF DUBAY has been arrested again on drug charges.
FORUM NEWS SERVICE and the ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS report that DUBAY, the longtime co-host with PAUL ALLEN of "P.A. AND DUBAY" on what is now iHEARTMEDIA Sports KFXN (KFAN, then KFAN-A) and later briefly a host on crosstown HUBBARD Sports KSTP-A (1500 ESPN) and more recently host of a podcast, was arrested YESTERDAY (4/29) for suspected methamphetamine possession after being pulled over for speeding near a high school in COTTAGE GROVE, MN.
An outstanding warrant for having no insurance led to a search of the car that turned up two needles and a baggie with a trace amount of possible meth. The drug possession could lead to a felony charge, while the speeding and paraphernalia possession would be misdemeanors.
DUBAY was fired by KFAN after his conviction on possession of crack in 2009. Alternative weekly CITYPAGES reports that DUBAY posted an ominous message on his Facebook page on APRIL 3rd, writing that he had decided to stop taking an antidepressant and was "scared for what may come." But his Twitter bio reads "Been thru hell; Never going back."
