Prince To Play Mother's Day 'Rally 4 Peace' In Baltimore

PRINCE is throwing a MOTHER'S DAY party in BALTIMORE to help cool down tensions in the belieaguered city.
The concert, will will take place at ROYAL FARMS ARENA this SUNDAY, MAY 10th is part of the artist's RALLY 4 PEACE initiative to unify the people of BALTIMORE in the wake of the FREDDIE GAY shooting and subsequent protests and violence.
The artist's 3RD EYE GIRL will join him for the show, with a promise of "several industry superstars" in attendance.
The rally comes just days after PRINCE revealed a new song, "BALTIMORE," inspired by real-life events. He performed an impromptu DANCE RALLY 4 PEACE at his PAISLEY PARK complex in MINNESOTA last weekend, where he recorded the new song.
Sample lyrics: "Does anybody hear us pray?/4 MICHAEL BROWN or FREDDIE GAY/Peace is more than the absence of war... Maybe we can finally say/Enuff is enuff it's time 4 love."
Tickets for the RALLY 4 PEACE event go on sale tomorrow at 5p (ET) at LIVE NATION. A portion of the proceeds will go to local youth charities.
