The case against three attorneys from the firm that represented BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE in his defense against TODD SCHNITT's lawsuit in 2013 has taken a turn with the revelation that the ex-husband of the paralegal involved in the alleged setup of SCHNITT's lawyer PHIL CAMPBELL for drunk driving recorded a call in which the paralegal admitted the plot.
NBC affiliate WFLA-TV and ABC affiliate WFTS-TV (ABC ACTION NEWS)/TAMPA are reporting that CAMPBELL's attorney JOHN FITZGIBBONS is attempting to introduce a recording of MELISSA PERSONIUS detailing the plot to her ex, KRISTOPHER PERSONIUS, who recorded the call and set up a meeting to give it to CAMPBELL, who notified the FBI. The agency recorded the encounter.
Attorneys for BUBBA's lawyers STEPHEN DIACO, ROBERT ADAMS, and ADAM FILHAUT are expected to try to have the recording of MELISSA PERSONIUS thrown out at next MONDAY's hearing in their case because PERSONIUS did not consent to be recorded; CAMPBELL's attorney JOHN FITZGIBBONS calls the video "a game changer and ... I think it's a smoking gun ... It explains what really happened that night." DIACO, ADAMS and FILHAUT are facing possible expulsion from the FLORIDA Bar.
