University Of Tulsa Football, Men's Basketball To Air On Big Country 99.5/Tulsa

UNIVERSITY OF TULSA sports will air on SCRIPPS Country KXBL (BIG COUNTRY 99.5)/TULSA with additional marketing on sister News-Talk KFAQ-A, Top 40 KHTT (106.9 KHITS), and Classic Hits KBEZ (92.9 BOB FM) under a new five-year deal with multimedia rights holder LEARFIELD SPORTS’ GOLDEN HURRICANE SPORTS PROPERTIES. The deal starts with the 2015-16 season and will put all football, men’s basketball and one-hour seasonal coaches’ shows on BIG COUNTRY 99.5, with promotional opportunities on the other stations.
The school’s VP and Dir. of Athletics Dr. DERRICK GRAGG said, “We appreciate the opportunity to create a new partnership with 99.5 KXBL and SCRIPPS. They have outstanding coverage and this is a terrific marketing platform for our fans and customers.”
“We’re happy that BIG COUNTRY 99.5 FM and SCRIPPS of TULSA will serve as our new radio home for the GOLDEN HURRICANE SPORTS NETWORK in TULSA,” added GOLDEN HURRICANE SPORTS PROPERTIES GM JOE DRUTEN. “KXBL is a 100,000-watt FM station with a regional coverage pattern. This will be a great fit for HURRICANE fans and alumni.”
