Six More In Congress, One Senator Sign On To Co-Sponsor Local Radio Freedom Act

Six more Congressional co-sponsors and one Senate co-sponsor have been added to this session's version of the Local Radio Freedom Act, the bill that would block the imposition of performance royalties on radio stations, according to the NAB.
The resolution now has 183 co-sponsors in the House of Representatives and 16 in the Senate.
The new co-sponsors include Reps. BUDDY CARTER (R-GA), SCOTT GARRETT (R-NJ), BRETT GUTHRIE (R-KY), JEFF MILLER (R-FL), ILEANA ROS-LEHTINEN (R-FL) and BILL SHUSTER (R-PA), with Sen. JOE MANCHIN (D-WV) signing on for the Senate version last week.
