Billboard Music Awards And ACM 'Superstar Duets' Pull Big TV Numbers

Last NIGHT’s “BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS,” broadcast on CBS-TV from the MGM GRAND HOTEL in LAS VEGAS, powered the network to a #1 rank for the night, winning the key 18-49 and 18-34 demos in rating and share, while attracting 9.9 million total viewers for the night. TAYLOR SWIFT picked up eight awards, LITTLE BIG TOWN performed "Girl Crush" with FAITH HILL, and FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE won Top Country Artist during the program.
Meanwhile, FRIDAY Night’s (5/15) “ACM PRESENTS: SUPERSTAR DUETS” special pulled a 0.7 rating among adults 18-49 and averaged 4.07 million viewers, placing it third for its 9p-11p (ET) timeslot. The special was taped last MONTH during the ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS weekend in DALLAS and featured the biggest stars from several eras of the format.
