DEEZER is adding news and entertainment programming to its service, starting with an immediate rollout in the U.K., FRANCE, and SWEDEN and the rest of the world later, with over 20,000 podcasts and radio shows being integrated into the global music streaming service from STITCHER, which DEEZER acquired last OCTOBER. Programming includes material from NPR, SLATE, FINANCIAL TIMES, WNYC, MONOCLE 24, RADIO NOVA, TÉLÉRAMA, and SVERIGES RADIO.
"DEEZER is pairing the best news and entertainment with the largest music catalog in the world to become the leading service for on demand music, radio and podcasts," said CEO HANS-HOLGER ALBRECHT. “This move signals our commitment to leading innovation, with a vision of becoming a single destination for audio, tailor-made for each listener. We’ll continue to roll out new programming in additional regions throughout the year.”
