Island Records Picks Up Safehouse

NICK JONAS and DEMI LOVATO have joined longtime talent manager and music executive PHIL McINTYRE to form SAFEHOUSE RECORDS through a joint venture with ISLAND RECORDS.

JONAS, whose chart-topping 2014 debut self-titled solo album kicked off the partnership, will be joined at the new artist-centric record label by DEMI LOVATO. LOVATO, who is currently recording her fifth studio album, will release future music on SAFEHOUSE through a creative partnership between with ISLAND RECORDS and HOLLYWOOD RECORDS.

Conceived as a "safe, protected environment where artist's creativity is supported, co-founders LOVATO, JONAS and McINTYRE will seek talented artists to join them at the label where artists will participate in the company as part owners.

"Our focus at SAFEHOUSE RECORDS is to put artists in control of their art while providing them the best tools to manage their careers," said label co-founders JONAS and McINTYRE. "Through our partnership with ISLAND, they will also have access to the best marketing and promotion available."
