GENERAL MOTORS has patented a way to sell in-car entertainment system presets to the highest bidder.
GAWKER MEDIA's JALOPNIK reports that GM has been issued U.S. Patent 9037475 for a system that allows the auctioning of preset slots in individual cars and potentially geofencing the presets so they can change depending on the location of the car, allowing for automatic changes in stations, apps, or sponsors.
