YAHOO! SPORTS RADIO is adding KEMP COMMUNICATIONS Sports KMZQ-A/LAS VEGAS as a primary affiliate starting JUNE 1st. YSR replaces FOX SPORTS RADIO on KMZQ, which is changing its slogan to THE SCORE; KMZQ rebranded as FOX SPORTS 670AM in 2013 after crosstown LOTUS Sports KBAD-A dropped FOX for NBC SPORTS RADIO. FSR is returning to the LOTUS cluster on KRLV-A, flipping from Regional Mexican.
To celebrate, YSR is bringing several shows to broadcast live from LAGASSE'S STADIUM, celebrity chef EMERIL LAGASSE's sports bar at the PALAZZO and the home of YSR's SPORTS X RADIO, as part of its second annual SuperWeek promotion, JULY 13th-17th.
“We have had a significant presence in LAS VEGAS through our great partnership with the PALAZZO,” said YSR CEO DAVID GOW. “It’s so exciting to welcome our newest LAS VEGAS partner and to build on our deep connection with the market through a terrestrial signal. It’s going to be a big win for everyone.”
KMZQ EVP/GM MARTY BASCH added, "YAHOO has built locally-rooted connections with their national programming across the country, and we’re excited to be an integral part of their LAS VEGAS presence. From special events, like SuperWeek, to nightly broadcasts with KEN THOMSON in the all-glass studio, this is a great opportunity for AM670 and its listeners to connect locally, get their national sports information, and be represented nationwide.”
