iHEARTMEDIA and CHILDREN'S MIRACLE NETWORK HOSPITALS were honored with a SILVER CAUSE MARKETING HALO AWARD in the Best Message-focused Campaign category at the 13th Annual CAUSE MARKETING FORUM CONFERENCE, two of 16 programs receiving HALO awards for outstanding efforts to do well by doing well in 2014.
In 2014, 35 iHEARTMEDIA radio stations raised nearly $6.5 million for CHILDREN'S MIRACLE NETWORK HOSPITALS and, over the past three years, have raised $19.5 million to help save and improve kids’ lives. RADIOTHON events provide a special opportunity for listeners to hear the incredible stories of local kids treated at a children’s hospital and to take action by focusing on local communities and drive sponsorship revenue that benefit the local CMN HOSPITAL.
“Our ongoing partnership with iHEARTMEDIA has a strong and powerful impact in the communities where we work together,” said CMN HOSPITALS VP/Media Partners BARBARA BRILL. “The funds the local radio stations raise through their relationship with their listeners and business partners enables the kids and families in those cities to have a chance at a better life.”
“No medium is more local than radio, and the RADIOTHON program capitalizes on iHEARTMEDIA’s unique and natural role as a community medium to drive both awareness and donations, and has raised hundreds of millions of dollars over the last decade for CMN HOSPITALS and other similar organizations,” said iHEARTMEDIA Dir./Community Engagement JESSICA KING.
Now in their 13th year, the CAUSE MARKETING HALO AWARDS are NORTH AMERICA's highest honor in the field of cause marketing. Descriptions of all this year's winners can be found online at www.CauseMarketingForum.com/halo2015.
