NRG MEDIA News-Talk KOIL-A (THE MIGHTY 1290)/OMAHA is running a campaign to show appreciation for law enforcement officers in the wake of the killing of OMAHA Police Officer KERRIE OROZCO on MAY 20th, a day before she planned to take maternity leave.
THE “BOB BRUCE EXPERIENCE 4 BLUE” will air free commercials for advertisers offering complimentary services for officers TODAY (6/3). Over 30 merchants have signed up, offering benefits including free dinners, hotel room nights, game tickets, store gift cards, oil changes, family portraits, medical services and more.
OM DAVE TEPPER said, “The response has been incredible. We’ve asked merchants to convey their support on JUNE 3rd, BBRE4BLUE DAY, which marks two weeks from the day of her passing. All of these fine stores and services have come through big-time, and we’re proud to give back by airing their offers, which truly reflect their support and appreciation ... BOB’s going to have to play a few more commercials during his show today, and I’ve never seen him happier about it. We’re planning to do everything we can to get the word to every police officer in our metropolitan area and beyond. And we’re encouraging both police and businesses to use social media to post photos and comments (hashtag #BBRE4BLUEDay) if they are comfortable doing so.”
